The Services for International Students and Scholars Office
(SISS) has two email listservs that can notify you of housing opportunities
and issues of interest for international students.
"Visitors" provides information on upcoming events and regulatory changes that
may be of interest to students. "SISS
Bulletin" provides listings of items for sale, available housing,
and related items.
International House also maintains a listserv of its own to announce
I-House special events and guests. Please contact dir@internationalhousedavis.org for more information.
Housing Information
Housing is not guaranteed. Be aware that the standard rental agreement for some housing options is nine months (or until the end of the academic year for students arriving in January). Students leaving their housing before the end of the agreement may be subject to a cancellation fee.

The California Housing Board (Non-UC Housing)
The California Housing Board provides a forum for all Education Abroad Program participants to share information about housing for rent and housing situations wanted in California. Students are encouraged to post messages about housing sublets, shared housing situations, rooms for rent, and rentals.

Residence Halls
Undergraduate students
First-year students receive priority placement in the UC residence halls. After this priority group is housed, more advanced students can be placed. We encourage reciprocity students to apply to be listed on the EAP Reciprocity Student Waiting List and simultaneously research other housing options, as a residence hall housing contract offer cannot be guaranteed. Students should plan to begin their housing search as early as possible. Please remember a residence hall housing contract will commit you to living in university housing though the end of the academic year.
