Summer School.
Term: Faculty teach for 6 weeks during the summer, late June through early August
Eligibility: UC ladder rank faculty
Openings: 12 UC faculty are expected to teach in the 2010 YISS
Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) would like to invite faculty members to teach one or two
courses from the list below for the 2010 YISS. Instruction will be entirely in English. Nearly all students
attending the summer session are undergraduates. There is a priority for the courses listed below, but if
you have a different course in mind that is similar, you may also propose a course(s) by submitting a syllabus.
In general, YISS is looking for introductory level courses and courses that can fulfill general education
requirements. Major courses in fields such as Business and Economics that are easily transferable for credit
may also be proposed. Salaries for ladder-rank faculty are $6000 for Assistant Professors, $7000 for
Associate Professors and $8000 for Full Professors for the first course and $6000 for the second course
regardless of rank. YISS will also provide an airline subsidy and housing for six weeks.
- Deadline for Application: Friday, December 28th, 2009
- Class Period: Monday, June 28 – Friday, August 6, 2010
- Class Hours: Monday to Thursday for 100 minutes (Total 48 credit hours)
