Home to many of Europe’s most exciting writers, filmmakers, and artists, Spain offers fresh perspectives on the cultural and political issues of the new millennium. Its developing role in the European Union makes it an increasingly important site for international study.

Through EAP’s year-long programs in Spain, UC students immerse themselves in some of Europe’s oldest centers of learning while they observe one of the continent’s most dynamic contemporary societies. Spain’s regional variations offer EAP year-long participants a choice between the culture and commerce of Barcelona, the metropolitan vitality of Madrid, or the Mediterranean and Islamic influences of Granada. EAP also offers summer and semester-length programs with a focus on Spain or on language acquisition.
