UCEAP offers a comprehensive choice of program formats:

• Immersion programs in which UC students take regular classes taught by host university faculty and study alongside local and international students
• Language & culture programs provide language training at various levels and familiarize students with the host culture and society
• Special-focus programs offer courses on a specific discipline and/or interdisciplinary approaches to an emerging topic of interest
• General education programs allow students to complete diverse UC breadth requirements
• Unique opportunities for independent research, internship, community service, or work in a lab/research  setting
